Lighting for service
Opening, dinner, a match, an event, closing. Give each part of the day a considered look, then make it easy for staff to change the room and return to the plan.
The right light changes over the day. I plan, program, and hand over lighting for places that need more than one setting — from a restaurant in service to a home winding down.
Light for the way a room is actually used.

The work / 01
The schedule carries the ordinary day. A simple control handles the moments that do not follow the schedule.
Opening, dinner, a match, an event, closing. Give each part of the day a considered look, then make it easy for staff to change the room and return to the plan.
A brighter start, a warmer table, a quieter evening. Build a routine around the rooms you use most, with controls everyone at home can understand.
In practice / Socceria
At Socceria, a 30-table bar and restaurant in Greenpoint, the lighting plan spans WiZ, Lutron, LED strips, and DMX fixtures. It follows the week and gives the team room to change the look for a match or an event.
That is the point of the service: a room that can change without asking someone to become its lighting technician.
See the Socceria workThe approach / 02
We look at the space, the way it is used, and the lights, switches, bridges, and network already there. Compatibility and scope come first.
I set the zones, everyday looks, and weekly rhythm with you, then program the controls around your actual equipment.
We run the schedule in the room, practice temporary changes and recovery, and leave the people who use the space with a clear way to operate it.
Practical details / 03
Every setup is scoped around the actual room and equipment.
Often. I review the exact fixture, dimmer, bridge, and network setup before proposing a plan. Any equipment that needs replacing is identified before work begins.
For a compatible local-hub setup, the accepted schedule keeps running while the hub, lights, and local network have power. We test the actual fallback during handoff.
The service covers lighting planning, compatible controls, programming, and handoff. New wiring or electrical changes are scoped separately with a qualified electrician. Emergency and exit lighting are outside this service.
Start a conversation
A few photos, how you use the space, and what you would like the lighting to do are enough to start. I will review the fit and the equipment before proposing a scope.
