With partners Shane Davis and Francis Harris, and Matthew Maddy, developed the concept for El Camino — a new shipping-container entrance to the Sound Room, and quite possibly the best smoking section in Brooklyn.

When the pandemic forced the young venue to adapt, the brief was to recover lost revenue and rethink operations without diluting the brand — with limited space and finite resources. The Nursery programmed the remaining containers and the adjacent lot: a passively heated and cooled greenhouse, designed by Mattaforma with landscape by L.A.'s Cactus Store, serving as private dining in good weather and winter storage for the venue's plant collection.
